We are getting closer to presenting the first open-pollinated maize variety developed through participatory plant breeding. In October we took a new step: we started the characterization trials in Pergamino that will allow us to describe it and share its attributes openly.
This trial is not just a technical advance: it is the concrete expression of our commitment to seeds that can circulate, be shared, and continue to be improved collectively, under open-source principles.
