On Thursday, November 6, the first meeting aimed at creating the San Martín Territorial Agroecological Node (NAT San Martín) was held at UNSAM's Miguelete Campus.
This coordination space seeks to strengthen collaborations between the university, community organizations, farmers, cooperatives, and other stakeholders to promote agroecology throughout the territory.
The event brought together UNSAM authorities, students, professors, and researchers, as well as national leaders in agroecology.
From Bioleft, we were present to support this collaborative process. Our participation reflects the project's commitment to building agroecological networks, advancing food sovereignty, and connecting research with production.
During the event, next steps were defined to establish a "facilitating group" within UNSAM, which will include representatives from collectives, cooperatives, and groups already engaged with agroecology.
The creation of NAT San Martín represents not only an opportunity to enhance university agroecology, but also to contribute to regional agendas that promote healthy food, sustainable production, and community agricultural education.
