We are developing a digital platform to monitor and map seeds and their circulation amongst different actors. To do this, the platform will allow georeferencing of seeds and will record their transfers, always under the Bioleft license. In this way we will have a tool that helps to defend seeds from potential exclusive appropriation. The platform will also enable the collection of valuable information through a “field notebook”, which will facilitate and provide technological support to processes of participatory seed breeding. As such the tool will promote both the circulation of knowledge and collaborative seed breeding.
